Leather labels and tags can be made from a tremendous range of different leather and synthetic leather types. They differ in their grain, colour, thickness and many other aspects. From this wide range, we have selected a few that we keep in stock.

In addition, we can also offer you SnapPap labels - a vegan leather.

Text colours / engraving colours

The colour of the text or engraving will depend on the material being engraved. The laser engraving process burns off the uppermost surface of the material. If this burning action generates a sooty layer, the text will appear dark. If the surface of the material burns off without leaving residues (particularly in the case of artificial leather), the text will appear in the colour of the substrate. The colour of the substrate is generally the same as the colour seen on the reverse of the material.

As a result, the colours produced during the burning process may differ considerably from one material to the next. Since these characteristics cannot be influenced by us, there is no option to select a text colour.

SnapPap - vegan leather

SnapPap is the current best-seller in the DIY department. This fascinating creative paper product that looks like leather is made from a mixture of paper and plastic (cellulose and latex) and is 0.55 mm thick. SnapPap combines the benefits of paper and fabric and is resistant to tearing. It is 100% vegan and Made in Germany. SnapPap is also environment-friendly and harmless in connection with children's clothing. namensbaender.de can offer you five different colours: brown, tan, grey, black and white.

This high-quality vegan leather can be machine-washed at up to 60°C. Handy hint: if you thoroughly screw up the SnapPap material before you wash it and add other garments to the wash, you will get an attractive vintage look. Before washing, it feels like thick photographic card but after the wash it has a leather-like surface. SnapPap can also be dried in the clothes drier. The material does not fray and can deal with higher temperatures (but this will cause it to crease a lot more). You can also iron SnapPap at higher temperatures. It will become completely smooth again if you iron SnapPap when still damp and set your iron to steam.
